i just got over a flu, and i know right now is the time where something pretty awful is going around. so i compiled a little list of remedies of some little things that help me.
1.) chicken noodle soup - something warm and comforting is always nice, but make sure its not too hot otherwise it will burn.
2.) tea - i like jasmine and instead of sugar and milk, add some ginger, black pepper, and honey for sweetness.
3.) salt water gargle - simply put filtered water and a teaspoon of salt inside a glass or mug, and microwave. make sure its not too hot, otherwise it will burn, like the soup
4.) lozenge - sucking on a cough drop can help produce saliva which thins the mucus in your throat. if u get one with menthol that can also help numb the pain
5.) stay hydrated - this may seem obvious, but even if you are not thirsty, drink water to keep fluids flowing through your body which is beneficial in flushing out and thinning the mucus.
6.) use vicks - this contains levomenthol, eucalyptus oil, turpentine oil and camphor which acts as a decongestant. apply liberally to chest, throat, and under loose clothing. however, avoid putting it on your face.
